This is the very room where, on 28 December 1895, the first motion pictures were seen. The décor pays tribute to that event which heralded the dawn of modern times. On the walls are images from the Lumière brothers’ first films; like windows on the past, they allow a glimpse of elegant, late 19th-century Parisian society.
